We are not a franchise. We are a family owned & operated business that was started in 1986.

We have an office and warehouse located in South Plainfield. Our primary areas are the counties of Middlesex, Somerset and Union. Please see our Service Area page for a list of towns and zip codes.
Have many clients been with you for a long time?
We have numerous accounts that we have been with for 10-15 years. We have been servicing most accounts for 5 years or more. We are continually adding accounts and we strive to offer each one the personal service that builds long term relationships.
At what time of day do you clean?
The majority of our cleaning takes place after businesses close. A much more detailed cleaning can be done when the facility is empty. If you require daytime cleaning, we will schedule as needed. Projects like stripping & waxing floors, and carpet cleaning take place on weekends or after hours to ensure the best results.

Are you a full-service cleaning company?
Contract cleaning – We offer full-service cleaning in a flexible package. We will customize our services to fit your scheduling and budgetary needs. Our staff is experienced and can adapt to any special challenges your facility presents.
One-time clean ups including post-construction, lease-end, and industrial projects.
Do you provide floor care and maintenance?
We provide complete care for hard flooring and carpeting
– we strip, clean, wax, and burnish hard floors
– steam clean carpets and upholstery
Do you offer green services?
Yes – most of the chemicals we use are eco-friendly. We can use 100% green chemicals as requested.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes – the only way to give you an accurate estimate is to walk through the building, take measurements, and discuss the exact scope of the work you want done. We then create a customized Task Schedule for your facility.
Do you charge by the square foot?
No. As explained in the answer above, each site is different. We inspect each site and spend time with every potential client to accurately assess how much time and effort is needed.
Is there a long-term contract?
We have a standard 30-day contract. If, after 30 days, you are not satisfied, we request 30 days to correct the problem. If the issue remains unresolved, you are free to terminate our services.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured and bonded. Our insurance company is The Hartford and we have $2,000,000 coverage with an additional $1,000,000 Umbrella policy.
Can you work within my budget?
As an independent company we have the freedom to alter our services to fit your budget. Working from our initial assessment we can explore various options, changing frequency or emphasis without compromising results. Our goal is to give you the best value for the money you spend.
Do you guarantee your work?
We back our service with a "White Glove Test" client sign-off - No job is complete until you are completely satisfied.
How do I contact you for special requests or problems?
During business hours, call or email our office. You will be given cell phone numbers to call or text for after hours. We receive special requests all the time and most can be performed . If you are having a special event and need additional staffing or another day of cleaning, we can handle that as well.
How are problems handled?
When a problem occurs, the first thing we do is fix it. Then we find out what caused the problem and take steps to insure it doesn’t happen again. Lastly, we reinspect until we are confident the issue has been resolved.
Are equipment and chemicals included in cleaning contracts?
All equipment and chemicals are included in our initial price. Prior to our first cleaning session, we deliver all equipment and cleaning chemicals needed.
Can we buy supplies and paper goods from you?
We are a distributor for commercial cleaning supplies and paper goods – from cleaning solutions and chemicals to paper towels and tissue essential for a well-stocked restroom, break room, or kitchen. We also carry trash can liners in a wide range of popular sizes and styles - at deep discount.

How do you screen your employees?
In addition to standard reference checks, we have an outside company do background checks as well.
Are your employees supervised?
All accounts have area supervisors that inspect the building at night. The inspections are both scheduled and unscheduled; ensuring NLC Solutions standards are being upheld.
Do your employees wear uniforms?
All employees wear NLC Solutions shirts to identify them as employees. They are required to maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
Will the same people clean my facility each time?
Yes. Our staff and clients both like working with a familiar team – communication is better, guess-work is eliminated, and there’s room for a personal touch. In emergency situations, back up cleaners and area supervisors will assist if necessary.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. All of our workers are employees of NLC Solutions, and many have been with us for years.
